I was always convinced that I lived a fairly healthy life. I tried to eat the right foods and, through my work mostly, I had enough physical exercise.
Later in life, I found out that this was wrong and that the whole food pyramid was upside down.
Let it be clear that this is my personal opinion and not based on any scientific or medical facts I found in the general health industry.
MY APPROACH TO HEALTH
After finding out that I was full blown diabetes a few years ago, I refused to take the medication my doctor advised me to take.
I decided to do research on how I could deal with that by changing my diet and lifestyle. I will tell you more about that in a separate article.
I am a strong believer that God has made this earth with everything in and on it for us to live a healthy life. We have ruined it by thinking we could improve what was already perfect.
Given that the body already knows how to heal and maintain itself, all I need to do is find the best food and environment to do that.
What I Am Learning
On an almost daily basis, I am learning more about the nutritional values of food. Especially home-grown food that I try to grow in my own garden.
Besides that, I am staying away from sugar and carbohydrates as much as I can. I found out that this approach had reversed my diabetes.
